New IE3 1-phase motor - last call for IE1

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW 1-PHASE MOTOR REQUIREMENTS

From July 1, 2023 in accordance with the requirements of the EU Commission Regulation 2019/1781 Annex I, the energy efficiency of single-phase motors with a rated power of not less than 0.12kW must meet at least the level of the IE2 efficiency class.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU – CHANGES IN PRACTICE

In practice, this means that almost all single-phase motors, excluding several types of motors of mechanical size 56, manufactured by Cantoni Group, will be covered by the provisions of the Regulation.

Single-phase motors from the current offer of Cantoni Group will no longer be available. However, exceptions are allowed, which are described in detail in Article 2(2) of the Regulation.

The regulation is available at:

CANTONI GROUP – MORE THAN THE STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

Cantoni Group has developed a new version of single-phase motors. As it turned out after the testing phase, our 3SSIE single-phase motors meet IE3 efficiency class requirements, i.e. one class higher than required by the regulations.

From July 1, 2023, 3SSIE series motors will be offered in the power range from 0.12 to 1.5 kW in mechanical sizes from 56 to 90. Detailed information on parameters is provided in 3SSIE catalogue card.

Motors with increased starting torque SEMh will be removed from the portfolio. Only motors with normal starting torque and high starting torque with electronic or centrifugal switch will be available.

The change of parameters means that it may be necessary to select different execution of motor in order to adjust it properly to a driven device. One-to-one motor swaps may not work in all applications.

The motors in the current version will be manufactured up to the end of June, 2023.

Now. it is the final chance to place the last orders for IE1 1-phase motors.
